Wind and Water

Wind and Water

Feng Shui means wind and water-we have lots of both right now, as demonstrated by the dead palm leaves all over the front yard.
We’ve been through a lot recently in California, first the devastating fires, now the rain.
Rain, the consummate water element, is usually very welcome for Californians.
We’ve received a lot recently, and sometimes in an amount we cannot handle.
Too much rain at once doesn’t help the balance much, and we have mudslides to prove it-the combination of burned earth and lots of rain, a very thick, heavy mud. But we need the rain for so many reasons, so we’ll take it. To even things, make sure you don’t overwater your indoor plants. You can also buy a small succulent, which is a low water plant, and put it in the center of your home in a ceramic pot.

Going Home…

Mercury Retrograde and Thanksgiving. In Feng Shui, we spend a lot of time with others in their homes or in our own. Pay attention to what emotions these places evoke. Time for anything beginning with RE.

Today, I came home; one of my first homes anyway, the town where I went to intermediate and high school-beautiful Palos Verdes. These, they say are some of the most formative years.

It’s good to go home, to RE-live memories, like buying oysters with guaranteed pearl inside at Redondo Beach Pier with your bff for $1.00 each (now $11.50 each)

RE-flect on the good things that have happened, RE-direct your energy to more positive thoughts and pursuits, RE-define your goals. RE-examine your past, present or future plans. Most important, RE-visit your childhood.
