Can Anything Protect Us From 2020?

evil eye from greece FSF

We have an evil eye above our front door. We got it in Greece in 2012, and, according to legend, it offers protection against evil across many cultures and religions. I’ve hung it above every front door of everyplace we’ve lived.

The evil eye finally went up on Floyd a couple of weeks ago, and I can report that, to my knowledge, nothing profoundly evil has landed on our doorstep since.

Do I believe they work? In a word, yes. I believe in stacking the deck in our favor, and if it’s Evil Eyes, horseshoes, or religious objects, I think we choose items that we believe will help protect us, and maybe the act of buying them and placing them makes it so.

We have to be aware of danger in order to protect ourselves from it. Once we are aware, we may change our behavior, which can change the outcome.

In Feng Shui, it’s ok to keep items that we link to protection. It isn’t harmful in Feng Shui. More is not better; and I’ve seen people go way overboard. Thinking about protecting your home means that you are thinking about your home, and that does affect Feng Shui In a positive way.

Stay well!

When the Consultant Consults the Master

2020 has been a year for injuries in our household. Finding myself unable to Feng Shui Floyd, because life is just like that, I consulted a master. Richard Ashworth is a published master who is one of the only world renowned Classic Feng Shui/Bazi masters whose native language is English.

He advised us to move our bed so our heads are facing Southwest. This is to counter the opposing Metal Rat year to Tom’s yin Fire Day Stem.

I know this sounds like Greek…he also said to enter through our true Front door, which is in the Northwest, and much less convenient than our porch doors. Hopefully, this will help curtail the rate of physical injury sustained in 2020.

I’m excited to be studying with Richard to formally learn about Bazi (birth charts) and synthesize this with the classical Feng Shui in his dual mastery program.

Meanwhile, hold tight for a wild end of 2020, with Mercury Retrograde in full force-it promises to be volatile.

When life gives you lemons

This evening, my friend, who is also my neighbor, brought us these beautiful fragrant lemons…and cream bars….But the lemons! They remind me of my childhood, of hope and sun and life, and the smell and color bring me to life!

In Feng Shui, lemons signify abundance, especially 9 lemons. I have more than 9 in my bowl – but I’m digging in right after I write this. Lemons are said to have a purifying effect, and are said to clear negative energy. Well 2020, take that!!!

Getting lemons as a gift is extra special. Like somebody is coming in to take the negative out. We all have some negative energy to move right now, and we all need some abundance and Purification, like I said, it’s 2020.  So go get some lemons; put them out, eat them, squeeze them into lemonade, just don’t let them go bad.
